I reformat my cards every single time I use them. The app FileSalvage was not able to recover anything at all. I'm not sure if disk warrior would be any better at possibly fixing this. I ran disk utility on the card, and it didn't find any problems. It's as if everything on the card went bad starting with one specific image. If I attempt to copy any file after the first one in the sequence that has a problem, the same thing happens. After a specific image, the beachball spins and the card unmounts and remounts. I am able to copy about 1/3 of the 400 images to my hard drive on my Mac. The camera appeared to shoot the images just fine, and I was able to preview them as I shot them at the event.
I'm on Mac OS X and it's a 16GB SanDisk card that is only a few months old.
